Week 76: "He is the Gift"

Hey family. Well not going to have too much time today, we have to make the Christmas video for the mission and it is taking quite a bit of time. Hopefully I can send some pictures. Well this week is changes and my companion has been in a lot of pain in his back. He got a call from President saying he will be going home at the change for medical care. So that means I don’t have changes. It has been pretty hard with him going home. I really hope he can come back.

Well another crazy busy and miracle filled week here in Olanchito. This week we were able to be on TV with the zone. It was an amazing experience. We got the “He is the Gift” video on TV and were able to sing 3 hymns. Many people saw us and we hope that this experience will help more people come unto Christ. I will send a video with Sister Klein or something, we were on TV with the whole zone for about an hour and a ton of people and this time we have it in a lot better quality! I’m sure you will really like it. Can’t believe changes are coming around again, time just keeps going by faster and faster.

This past week another one of our investigators got baptized. His name is Elias and is about 50 years old. He is really awesome and has been progressing and was able to be baptized this past Saturday. What was the biggest miracle to me is when he bore his testimony. Our whole time teaching him it wasn’t hard at all, he just read, prayed, and really truly desired to be baptized. He bore a very powerful testimony on the power of missionary work. He told us that before he was extremely hard and didn’t want anything to do with religions but through missionary work and the missionary visits he was baptized. He also received the Aaronic Priesthood.

The recent converts here in our area are progressing extremely well. The family that got baptized last week has been having their own family home evenings. The husband said a prayer in sacrament meeting, and has read 10 chapters as a family in the Book of Mormon. They have gone to about every church activity. The other man that got baptized last week, Eristeo, went and visited with us and bore his testimony on the truthfulness of the book of Mormon and also about the church. We have been extremely impressed with the recent converts here. They are amazing!

We found a man this past week going through a lot of problems. He recently lost his job, his house, and also his wife and child moved out and left him. We came upon him while walking and starting talking to him. He went to the Christmas devotional and is really desirous to learn more about the Gospel. What amazing talks that were given in the Christmas devotional and he really enjoyed it. Well I love you guys, can’t believe how fast time is going. Really can’t believe it. Sorry I couldn't write too much, just a lot of stuff to do and hopefully we can get it all done.

Love you guys
