Week 64: How Could She Know?

Hooooiiiii! Hey yall! Loved the pictures and the cool stories! Crazy Mayson got nominated to be homecoming queen! Time just goes by too quickly. Well this past week was full of miracles and of some very awesome experiences. This past week the parents of our ward mission leader were able to be baptized along with a friend of his son. It was truly a special experience.

We had an amazing miracle this week to watch a person completely change. She is the mom of our ward mission leader that got baptized this past Saturday. While working with her she didn’t seem very interested. She and her family come from a small town about 4 hours away from Olanchito and she does not know how to read or write. She had many doubts and fears about joining the church. This past week we decided to take a member, one of the first here in Olanchito to visit her. When we arrived this sweet member told us the story of her conversion and to our surprise related perfectly to our investigator.  The member invited her to be baptized and follow her husband. The spirit was so strong.  Thanks to this sweet member, this wife was able to find the courage to be baptized with her husband. When we came back the next day, she made the decision to join her husband and to be baptized. What joy filled our hearts and to our surprise since making that decision, she has become a whole new person. There is a whole new light to her and she is so much happier. It was so special to see the joy on their faces, as they were able to share that special day together.

Wonderful baptisms that Elder Neuberger talked about in his letter.

About a week ago we were walking down the street and saw one of our recent converts talking to someone we did not know, so we went and talked to them. He introduced us to his friend and we set up a visit with her and her family. Later on that week we were able to teach this family. We taught them the Restoration and during the lesson, the mom stopped us and told us of a dream she had a while back, where God told her that if anyone came and talked to her about the gospel she was to ask "how she could know if it was true"? She asked us the question on "how she could know", my companion and I smiled and wondered how she read our minds, knowing that God has prepared her and her family for the Restored Gospel. We happily responded to her question.

One recent convert in our ward has been making leaps and bounds in the gospel. I think I have told you about this family in about every letter, but every week the progress they make is a miracle. This past week she gave a talk in the baptisms that she invited everyone to studying the Book of Mormon. She invited us so powerfully, and was able to do so because she has studied and has gotten her own testimony of the Book of Mormon. In just one month this lady and her family have become completely different people, they hold there own family home evenings, she gives prayers in sacrament meeting, gave a talk in a baptism, her son passes the sacrament, and her other son has been working on his articles of faith. Well I sure do love you guys and it sounds like everyone is doing really well! How cool were Mallory's pictures of tennis! I have pictures so I will send them to you right now. I love you guys and hope everyone is doing great!

Love Elder Neuberger
Hoping everything goes ok for the baptisms!!!

If you get a chance...look at the article written about the members in Honduras in the LDSLiving Magazine this month.  It is awesome and most of the pictures are from Sis. Klein (Kaden's Mission President's wife).
