Hey guys!
Well just had another great week here in Planeta. With the rain and mud
it made for quite a week. hahah nothing like being soaked and trudging through
the mud. But it was a blast. Everything has been really well here. We have been
able to get out and run in the mornings. Every morning my comp and me have been
going out to run. It helps living in a residential for sure. People here have
been giving us so much food! ha it seems like everyone is inviting us over to
eat. We have had a couple of days where we have eaten two lunches or even two
dinners. After eating so much it makes you want to cry. haha oh I got your
package thank you so much!! Just some other news, an apostle will be coming to
do a multi mission conference the second week of March. So we are pretty
excited for that!
Anyways on to the week, we have been getting a lot more member
support here in the work. This past week a very active family took us to meet a
family that they have been long friends with. We had a quick lesson and quickly
learned of the many challenges that they are going through. The mom’s sister who
just passed away, her son has fallen into drinking, and etc. Needless to say
this family needs the gospel. We shared a quick lesson with the mom and the daughter
and decided to come back the next day to talk with the father. When we showed
up the father didn’t want to listen to us so we shared something with the mom
and daughter. Turns out that the man listened to us the whole time from inside
his house and as we left he came out and told us that he wants us to visit him.
The wife was shocked, but the husband said that he felt something different.
The next day, Sunday, the mom and daughter arrived at church. What an amazing
family!!
We found a lady a couple of weeks ago in a pulperia. She has read,
prayed, received her answer and everything. We talked about baptism and she
readily accepted it. She has the goal to be baptized in March. It was a
great week. As for any invitations this week, it would be to reach out and
introduce our friends and neighbors who aren’t members to the missionaries. It
not only will bless them, it will bless you guys and will answer a missionary´s
prayer. Trust me. Hope you guys have a great week, sorry we haven’t been able
to take a lot of pictures, but I will try to this week.
