Week 69: Blessings from Pulling Weeds

Hey guys,
How is everyone doing? Loving the pictures, but its kind of funny seeing dad is a sling. Hey well everything has been good here and been loving it. From climbing mountains, to San Pedro, to pouring rain, to knocking doors, to chopping weeds with a machete, all day every day, time goes by just too fast. With each day, the time goes by faster. This week was pretty crazy just like all of them, busy like always. Many of our investigators stopped progressing this week. It was really sad to see it, knowing what they need and when they don’t do it its saddening. But everything is good.

Pretty proud of our clean house!

We had some special experiences this week where we were able to work more with some members. This past week one member took us to visit one of her friends who she met while working. We were able to go with her and listen to her as she taught her friend. It was really special. Our next-door neighbor is the best friend of a member. This member has invited her and invited her to come to church and she has also listened to missionaries before. Actually many of her family, such as her nephews are members. She really likes the church but just has some little doubts that are holding her back. She has always been really nice to us, giving us food and other things and this past week we had the opportunity to serve and to help her pull some weeds. We were also able to put a visit with her and visit her yesterday, where we talked about one of her biggest doubts, baptisms for dead. The spirit was really strong and Elder Montenegro went right in with the baptism challenge. She told us that she is going to pray and accepted our invitation to come to church with us. When we stopped by her friend’s house later that night, she was so excited saying that her friend is opening up, she even was surprised and curious about baptism.

After pulling weeds, our investigator fed us...I can't believe she let Kaden in her house "sweaty boy"
Well everything is going well just excited to keep working. This past week my companion and me talked a lot about the grand privilege that everyone has to repent. What an amazing process and opportunity that we have to repent! The miracle of forgiveness that is offered to all those who repent is amazing. I now read those wonder calls from the Master calling all of us to repent and turn to Him. What could be a more heartfelt and sincere plea of love than that of our Lord Jesus Christ calling us all to repent! Truly our joy is great if only one person repents and turns to God. We are like Ammon who glory and work with the hope that someone might repent and turn unto God.

Hey I will write that letter thing next week. With so much to do and always on the phone or making plans and stuff like that I haven’t been able to write in my journal for a while. So going to get caught up on that and write you guys the Christmas letter. You guys can pick the pictures. Going to send pictures. Hope everyone is doing well. Love you guys!
