Hey family! How is everyone? Wow where do I begin? First
off like always I guess saying how fast time is going by. This week was a great
week and really strengthened me and my companion knowing that God is preparing
the people here. So this past week was my birthday and it actually turned out
to be pretty good. It was one of the days where everything falls through,
leaving us wondering what we should do. Just like always we started knocking
doors and trying to talk with everybody and after a couple hours of that, we didn’t
have much success. We decided to go to an area where we had been before and
contact. As we were walking there, we knocked on a door and a lady walked out.
After introducing ourselves she told how much she likes the church commercials.
She expressed her interest. Just after that contacted another house and the
same thing happened, a house where we had contacted about 3 times or so. And
after that it happened again with another house. 3 houses in a row that are
families and don’t go to any church!! We were extremely happy knowing that God
had heard our prayers and lead us to His prepared children.
With one of those families that we contacted we had a really
amazing miracle. When we returned back and began talking with the husband, a
younger man about 28 or so, his wife and his 5-year-old son. He told us that
for a while or so have been feeling a really big desire to go to a church but doesn’t
know which to go to. We were so amazed at the sincerity of this man and his
family. Being able to teach this man and his family the restoration was
something very special. Finding a family like that made all of the slammed
doors, denied invitations, so so worth it.

But I would say the highlight of this week came on Sunday. We
were making the rounds Sunday inviting people to church only to find out that
people had to work and stuff like that. We made our way back disappointed to
wait for the bus to take us to church. When the bus pulled up, we saw an
inactive man who we have been working with for a lot of time in the front seat
of the bus. He and his family have been sealed in the temple, but this past
year or so has been falling back in to his drinking problems. He works in a
pretty rough environment and doesn’t have the best friends. But yesterday went
to church! We were so excited!

Anyways we saw a video this past week in our zone conference
called thanks to him (Because of Him). It was one of the best videos of the
church I have ever seen. So that’s my invitation for you guys this week, watch
the video and share it with your friends. It had such an impact on my comp and
me!
Anyways for something funny that I forgot to tell you guys that
happened about a month or so ago, so we were walking to church when we saw an
iguana crossing the street, all of the sudden a car nailed it, and before we
could even react and man booked it out in the middle of the street, grabbing
the freshly killed iguana yelling "yes!" It was pretty funny!
