Week 45: Testimony of the Restoration

Hey family! How is everyone? Hope everyone is doing really great. It sounds like from your letters that everything is going great. Well another week has cruised on by. Oh and this next week is mother´s day!! Is it all right if we talk this Sunday at 5pm my time. Just like the Christmas call we need to keep the call short around 30 to 40 minutes.

Yes another week has gone by just as always. This week was filled with miracles on many different levels. The one thing that we really focused on this past week was talk with everyone that we could. About a week and a half ago, we were walking down the street saw a man and decided to go talk to him. He didn’t say a lot but expressed interest in our message. After a visit with him and his family they have become so interested to the point that 2 days later he came with us to a priesthood activity that we had on Thursday. After teaching the Restoration and challenging for baptism they both said ya!!! but just like about all of the families here marriage is generally the issue. But to me I feel like the biggest miracle was what happened on Friday. Just like many of our days all of the appts we had feel through leaving us wondering what to do. We decided to talk with everyone we could. So that’s what we did, went and tried to talk with everyone. People everywhere. We hardly found anyone but felt at peace knowing that we gave our best effort. But the biggest miracle that came this past week was having the opportunity to watch one of our recent converts tell her story of conversion this past Sunday. She has only been a member for a week now and bore a powerful testimony to everyone in the congregation. This past week our testimonies were strengthened about the Restoration. While we were watching the Restoration video with this recent convert and her brother in law our hearts were touched. We have seen the video about a million times, but something about that time struck my comp and me. We left that appt knowing more certainly that God answers prayers to those that ask with real intent. That was something I always knew but never fully comprehended what it meant. Prayer. A prayer of faith brings the Spirit. We all know what we can do if we have the Spirit with us. Each day that we go through is a struggle and a fight to the end. But we don’t have to go through it by ourselves. If we always have a prayer in our hearts we will be able to endure to the end. I have seen the power of prayer here on my mission. It has always helped me and helped me know that the only thing expected is our best. If we try our best the Lord will help us in everything in our lives. But it all begins with the prayer. The Lord hears and answers prayers. It may be in His time and in His way but He always responds. I know that.

Have a great week this week. I love you guys and cant wait to talk to you guys again. Seems like yesterday we talked. Haha love you guys and have a great week.

Love Elder Neuberger
