Hey how is everyone? Hope everyone had a great week, and enjoyed
general conference. How exciting about everyone with their mission calls. Crazy
that that happened a year ago. Loved your letters and loved the pictures. It is
getting hot here in San Pedro, and its up in the 100s here. I thought I knew
what the word hot meant, I obviously didn’t. Its kind of funny, during the
really hot hours no one is out in the street, and everything looks deserted.
This next week is changes also... semana santa! Meaning that everyone is heading
off to the beach, because this next week it is going to be HOT! They told us
that it will be around or above 40 degrees celesios or around 100 to 110
degrees F or even hotter.
This week was a struggle but was filled with many miracles. The
first thing is that conference was such an amazing experience. We had another
huge miracle this past week, as we were contacting in another part of our area.
As we were walking, my comp told me that we needed to talk to a lady up ahead.
So we went up to her and starting talking to find out that she and her whole
family are members. We put another appt and showed up the next time to hear
about the whole story. The whole family got baptized. They were very active,
but about 14 years ago went inactive and lost contact with the church. All of
the children at the time of their baptisms that weren’t 8 years of age, are now
in their 20’s and some have families. The told us of the wonderful experiences
they had during their time in the church. The grandma has started going to
another church, and the reason she likes it is because it is like our church.
We were so blown away being there. We had an amazing lesson with the grandson
who as a kid loved reading the books of the church and has always wanted to go
and learn more. The family expressed to us how they want to return to the
church.

Another amazing miracle. One week ago, a family invited us to a
family home evening that they were going to have. The husband is inactive and
has been having problems with the Word of Wisdom. This family has been sealed
in the temple, but there have been a lot of problems in their marriage. We
decided to watch finding faith in Christ. We watched it and after began talking
about the video and what they liked. Then the most amazing thing happened, they
began talking about what they could do to be better, the wife apologized to the
husband and the husband said that he needs to be more humble. That really is
how the Gospel of Jesus Christ changes us. In that video they were able to feel
and see how Christ would act in those situations and made the decision to
follow Him.
We had some more experiences but I am going to send some pictures.
Hope everyone will have fun this next week. Hope everything is going well, and
I imagine that you guys are on your hike right now. I love you guys. I am proud
of you guys that you all sat down and watched General Conference. Keep up the
good work guys. I love you!
